Lucy Sparkles / Lucy Sparkles and Friends

Lucy Sparkles walks to work with a smile on her face every day because she knows of the joy that drama, music and dance can bring into a child’s life. Lucy Sparkles has been enhancing the lives of children through drama, music and dance since 2002. From teaching music, drama and dance to children of all ages, to performing classical guitar; from playing Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, to writing children’s songs and plays; from drama workshops for children with special needs, to directing her own children’s musical… Lucy has done it!

Lucy is a professional singer and songwriter with a BA (Theatre)(Distinction) from Charles Sturt University in Australia, a Higher Diploma in Guitar Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music, a Diploma from the London Music School and a PPC In Early Childhood Music (Kodály) from Roehampton University.

Lucy established Lucy Sparkles & Friends in London in 2009.  Since then, the company has expanded to include three London based franchisees, one Canberra based licensee and a subsidiary company in Singapore.  Lucy has a young daughter, Issy, who loves attending mummy’s classes.

Dani Bizley

Business Manager

Dani Bizley - Business Manager

Based in London, Dani looks after the operational side of the U.K., Singapore and Australian businesses.

Dani grew up in Kent in a family where everybody sang all the time.  She studied flute and violin at school and went on to sing with the University of London Chorus, Music in Offices and the Hummy Mummies.  Dani is now a member of the Lewisham Choral Society, with whom she has performed at many events including the Paralympic Opening Ceremony.

After studying at Kings College London, Dani worked in events at the Royal Albert Hall.  Shortly after the Independent newspaper declared that “food” was “the new rock and roll”, she moved into a career in food and events management in the City.  Dani worked for blue chip clients in banking, oil and the media, starting in hospitality services and progressing to administrative, commercial and ultimately operational management for client food services.  Throughout her food service career she supported bids for new business and mentored peers on financial performance, accurate account keeping and business compliance.

Dani is a mother to two girls who both love singing and Lucy Sparkles’ classes!  She is passionate about the role the performing arts can play in developing children’s confidence and character and says, “teaching a child to join in with a song or to play a rhythm or a tune in a group lets them really feel that they are a part of something, and gives them the opportunity to experience recognition for that achievement.”

Angelina Sparkles

Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Angelina Sparkles is a theatre-maker and educator. She graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA Acting (Hons) in 2019, and holds ABRSM Grade 7 certification in piano. She also plays the ukulele.

Angelina loves working with children and enjoys leading them to explore the wonders of drama, music and dance. In addition to Lucy Sparkles & Friends, she has worked for several arts education companies such as Faust International Youth Theatre, Gloobaloo and Friends, and Singapore Repertory Theatre – Learning & Engagement.

Angelina creates to empower and she dreams of creating works accessible to all children. She believes that with drama, music and dance, lives can be changed and individuals can be inspired. The unending joy and imagination of children have always amazed Angelina. She hopes that in whatever she does, she makes a difference in their lives as they have in hers.

Day Sparkles

Day Sparkles

Day Sparkles is a Singapore-based Filipino actress with a passion for anything and everything theatre. She graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA Acting in 2016 and plays both guitar and ukulele.

Day has a great deal of experience working with children including performing in a variety of children’s theatre shows for Sweet Tooth Productions, teaching drama to primary and secondary school students at GEM’S World Academy Singapore and entertaining at children’s birthday parties across Singapore.

Day loves working with children because she values the opportunity to help them create joyful memories that will positively impact their lives forever.

Fatin Sparkles

Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Fatin Sparkles is a theatre and movement artist who has been performing since she was 6 years old. Fatin holds a BA(Hons) in Acting from LASALLE College of the Arts as well as a Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology from Singapore Polytechnic, where she trained through working with children and adults of all ages.

Fatin has worked for several arts education companies, in addition to Lucy Sparkles & Friends, including inwardBOUND, YMCA Metropolitan and Singapore Contemporary Young Artists.

Fatin is passionate about arts education for young people. She finds joy in creating with children and is always amazed by their boundless creativity and imaginations.

Jeremy Sparkles

Drama Teacher

Jeremy Sparkles wakes up every day looking forward to either stepping onto a stage or entering a classroom filled with enthusiastic and eager children!

Jeremy is an actor, storyteller and drama educator who graduated from LASALLE with a Diploma in Performance in 2016.  He has created and acted in over 50 storytelling performances for children and has performed in several theatre-in-education shows at international and local schools throughout Singapore.

Jeremy’s work as a drama educator includes teaching enrichment programs at several local preschools as well as teaching for Lucy Sparkles & Friends.  He believes in using drama to encourage children to think critically, promote creativity and imagination and enhance the learning process.

Jeremy believes that every child deserves a quality arts experience and education and he cherishes his work because it can inspire, encourage and help children discover their full potential.

Mehr Sparkles

Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Mehr Sparkles

Mehr Sparkles is a multidisciplinary artist. She has been acting since she was five years old and continues to work in the theatre industry in Singapore. She received her BA (Hons) in Acting from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2018, after-which she trained with SITI Company in New York City for eight months. Mehr is also trilingual, speaking English, Hindi and French, and loves learning how to play new tunes on her ukulele.

Mehr’s love for theatre first sparked when she played Pinocchio in a school production when she was in the first grade. She is passionate about sharing her love for the arts with the younger generation. Over the years, she has consistently found ways to introduce drama, music and movement to children; through extra curricular activities during her high school years and by working backstage on school productions thereafter.

Mehr is intrigued by the way children express themselves and fill the world with joy and colour using their imagination. She enjoys sharing moments of fun and creativity with every child she meets through Lucy Sparkles & Friends.
