Lucy Sparkles
Company Director & drama, music and dance teacher

Lucy Sparkles walks to work with a smile on her face every day because she knows of the joy that drama, music and dance can bring into a child’s life. Lucy Sparkles has been enhancing the lives of children through drama, music and dance since 2002. From teaching music, drama and dance to children of all ages, to performing classical guitar; from playing Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, to writing children’s songs and plays; from drama workshops for children with special needs, to directing her own children’s musical… Lucy has done it!
Lucy is a professional singer and songwriter with a BA (Theatre)(Distinction) from Charles Sturt University in Australia, a Higher Diploma in Guitar Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music, a Diploma from the London Music School and a PPC In Early Childhood Music (Kodály) from Roehampton University.
Lucy established Lucy Sparkles & Friends in London in 2009. Since then, the company has expanded to include three London based franchisees, one Canberra based licensee and a subsidiary company in Singapore. Lucy has two young children, Isabel and Rafferty, who love attending mummy’s classes.
Tracy Cheah
Business Manager

Our Business Manager, Tracy, is Singaporean, with qualifications in Media Communications (University of Melbourne), Early Childhood Education (University of Sunderland) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) (College of Allied Educators). She moved back to Singapore after several years in Melbourne and has worked with young children ever since. She is passionate about working with the early years and especially with children with SEN. Tracy has always had a strong interest in the arts, having been in both drama and choir at school, as well as incorporating the arts into her previous work with young children.
Tracy originally came to know about Lucy Sparkles & Friends through the classes that she attends with her son, Oliver, and decided that she wanted to be a part of the business. If you’re wondering who you’re chatting to on the phone or through email, it would most likely be Tracy!
Nisha Sparkles
Head of Entertainment & Training

Nisha Sparkles is a professionally trained actor who loves to sing and dance. A 2016 graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, she spent 7 years living in Melbourne, as well as a brief stint in the States. She’s worked in film, theatre (musical and otherwise), and has even recorded voiceovers for Amazon’s Audible! Nisha plays the ukulele and is in the process of relearning the piano.
As a child, Nisha was incredibly quiet and shy. Her worried parents put her in music and drama classes – and now she’s an actor who makes friends with everyone! Nisha knows first-hand the power of the arts in empowering children and loves being part of each child’s little journey. Nisha Sparkles loves that everything you give a child, you get back tenfold!
Sidney Sparkles
Head of Pre-school Communications & Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Sidney Sparkles was born in England, but has been living in Singapore since the age of 7 and considers it her home. She recently graduated from LASALLE’s BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course which equipped her with skills in singing, dancing and acting. During her time at LASALLE, Sidney played Mimsy in ‘It Shoulda Been You’ and Cinderella in ‘Into the Woods’.
Sidney participated in numerous dance classes and performances (including original pieces) throughout her childhood. She also performed original songs and participated in any theatre productions or musicals she could get her hands on!
With her passion for the arts and having grown up in a big family (the eldest of five girls!), Sidney loves to get little ones excited about singing, dancing and pretending, making Lucy Sparkles & Friends the perfect fit!
Ai Wen Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Ai Wen Sparkles is a bilingual Mandarin–English triple threat (singer, dancer and actor), who graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre in 2022. She also holds a diploma in violin and trained in both artistic and trampoline gymnastics from the age of six!
Ai Wen was cast in several roles throughout college, including Albert in ‘It Shoulda Been You’ and Baker’s Wife in ‘Into the Woods’. Outside of college, Ai Wen has been involved in professional productions including ‘The Sound of Music’ at Marina Bay Sands and ‘Monster in the Mirror’ by Bitesize Collective.
Ai Wen dreams to one day perform on Broadway or the West End, and is working hard towards that goal! In the meantime, she loves teaching her craft to young children and watching them develop into expressive young adults! Ai Wen says, ‘Children remind us that the simplest joys in life can be the most powerful.’
Ai Wen says that choosing to pursue her passion and love for the dramatic arts was one of the best decisions she ever made, and she wishes to inspire and guide children who hold the same feelings towards theatre.

Amelia Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Amelia Sparkles is a ball of energy; brightening up the room with her infectious smile.
She has found joy and fulfilment teaching children speech and drama over the past 3 years, and now with her trusty guitar, she hopes to nurture to children in the arts.
Amelia played Wednesday Addams in ‘The Addams Family’, at LASALLE College of the Arts, and obtained her BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre in May 2023.
Theatre has grown and shaped her into who is today & Amelia hopes that she can be a part of that same growth journey for other children in their formative years.
Amelia looks forward to sharing music, dance and drama with excitable little ones as part of the Lucy Sparkles & Friends team.

Bella Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Bella Sparkles grew up in Singapore; interested in the arts from a very young age. At the age of eight, Bella started honing her crafts in music and theatre; a passion which continues to this day.
Bella has performed in musicals such as Annie and Santa Claus the Musical in Marina Bay Sands, and performed in venues such as Baybeats and the Republic Polytechnic Theatre.
She adores music and, if she’s not studying, you’ll probably find her making music with her band.
Bella advocates for arts and music education for all young children, and truly enjoys being part of the joy it brings them.
Champei Sparkles
Drama & Dance Teacher

After moving to Singapore six years ago, Champei began studying at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Diploma in Art Teaching.
Champei has experience teaching children art and swimming, and has assisted in local school productions and group performances.
Champei just loves working with children as they bring so much joy and happiness – they always bring a smile to her face.
Jeni Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Originally from the UK, Jeni Sparkles graduated with a BA (Hons) Musical Theatre from the Arts Educational School, London. An experienced teacher of musical theatre, early years and creative drama who also plays the ukulele, Jeni loves working with Lucy Sparkles & Friends, and the opportunity to bring out the same passion and creativity in children across Singapore.
Jeni’s professional highlights on the stage include: ‘Fly with the Stars’ London Palladium, ‘Betwixt!’ Ambassadors Theatre in London’s West End, ‘Best of West End’ Leicester Square Theatre, Roberta in ‘The Railway Children’ Theatre Royal Drury Lane, ‘White Christmas’, Sondheim’s ‘Company’, various pantomimes as well as Dance Captain on Dick Whittington and Lead Production Singer on a cruise liner in South Africa and the Mediterranean. Across Asia, she has performed in ‘Annie’ in Hong Kong and at Marina Bay Sands playing “A Star to Be”, as well as ‘The Sound of Music’.
Jeni has performed regularly in Singapore for “Sing’Theatre” on various projects including ‘Sing Me A Story’ @ NUH, Music Fest @ SGH, Singapore Night Festival, ‘Evolution of Opera’ Peranakan Museum, ‘A Gift of Music Live’ at the Steinway Gallery in connection with Winter Wonderland Concert Series, “Singathon” at the Drama Centre Black Box, as well as teaching at Centre Stage School of the Arts & appearing on UK television and film.
Jing Sen Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Jing Sen Sparkles is a donut loving LASALLE graduate who majored in BA Musical Theatre. He plays piano and violin, and can perform magic tricks and acrobatic stunts!
Jing Sen has a plethora of teaching experience, including four years as a vocal coach and 12 years as a martial arts instructor. He loves the curious and exploratory nature of children, and believes that through drama, music and dance, he can learn just as much from them as they can from him!
Marius Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Marius Sparkles is a professional Singaporean actor and singer who graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre in 2022. He also completed the acting course at The Young Company Programme by Singapore Repertory Theatre in 2019.
During his time in LASALLE, Marius played Greg Madison in ‘It Shoulda Been You’ and Cinderella’s Prince in ‘Into the Woods’. Other than teaching, Marius enjoys performing in shows for children at pre-schools and primary schools. Marius Sparkles loves sharing his love and passion for drama and music to young children, which makes his time with Lucy Sparkles & Friends incredibly rewarding!
Megan Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Megan Sparkles is a creative director, producer and performer with over 15 years’ experience working in film production, theatre and other entertainment industries across Australia, Singapore and wider Asia. She specialises in working with children; teaching them the art of drama, music and dance for professional screen and stage productions.
Megan has a double degree in Film Production and Theatre Studies from the University of Notre Dame. A born entertainer, Megan has been performing since she was old enough to hold a microphone. She has been trained in the vocal arts by John Lee, Jacintha Abishegenathan and Sheila De Niro and regularly sings in concerts, musicals and at gala dinners. Megan has produced shows with the original Kool & The Gang and Sister Sledge, and has played the lead role in the musicals ‘Sister Act’ and ‘We Will Rock You’ in Australia.
Megan’s professional highlights include: working as the Assistant Director to Ivan Heng for the musical production of ‘Peter Pan in Serangoon Gardens’ by WILD RICE, where she worked closely with a cast of 40 children. While working as Head of Productions at Hurrah Productions, Megan directed and produced films for brands such as MasterCard, Unilever, P&G, SIA and Netflix Asia; specialising in directing children to act in advertisements and TV productions. She has also directed international artistes Wang Leehom and Anggun, and her production team won a Silver Cannes Lion Award for their film ‘Soft Test’, where Megan coordinated 10 toddlers who acted in the film.
Still a child at heart, Megan has a special flair for working with children. She thrives at sharing her performing arts experience with them and knows how to make a classroom come to life!
Mel Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Mel Sparkles graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre in 2022, which armed her with skills in singing, acting and dancing. She plays piano, guitar and ukulele, and enjoys writing and arranging music. Mel’s ultimate goal is to write her very own musical!
Recently, Mel represented her Filipino heritage by performing in ‘Remotes X Quantum’ at Singapore’s International Festival of the Arts 2022.
Mel grew up in a music loving household, which ignited her passion for performing. Thus, she strives to help children discover the fun and joy that drama, music and dance can bring!
Nicole Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Nicole Sparkles graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts with a BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre in 2022, equipped to sing, dance and act! Her musical debut was as a main cast member in ‘In Pieces’ by 7/8 Musical Collective; the highlight show for Sing Theatre’s first ever Musical Theatre Fringe Festival.
Nicole Sparkles has been storytelling and entertaining young children at her church since the age of 17, which has sparked her passion for working to give children outstanding theatrical experiences. Armed with her ukulele, guitar and piano at her side, Nicole spreads her infectious joy and energy wherever she goes. There is certainly never a dull moment when Nicole Sparkles is in the room!
Priscilla Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Priscilla Sparkles has always loved singing, dancing and music. She has been playing the piano since she was four years old, and now enjoys playing the ukulele as well.
Priscilla graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Murdoch University, Western Australia in 2002 and began a career in marketing. Her passion for music lead to a career change in 2010, when she received her Grade 8 Piano (Practical and Theory) certification from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), and started teaching piano to young children.
In 2012, she relocated to Shanghai with her family, where she qualified as a Music Specialist for ‘Music Together’, a US-based early childhood music program. Priscilla taught their music program for mixed-age family classes and pre-schools.
Having recently moved back to Singapore, Priscilla is excited to be part of the Lucy Sparkles & Friends team; her radiant smile and genuine passion for music bring joy to all who attend her classes.

Rowena Sparkles
Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Rowena Sparkles is a singer, actor and dancer who holds a BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre from LASALLE College of the Arts. Rowena loves to tell stories and plays guitar, piano and ukulele. She believes that a smile, a laugh or even a song can go a long way in making someone’s world a little brighter.
In addition to her work with Lucy Sparkles & Friends, Rowena teaches musical theatre to children and singing to people of all ages. She is also an actor and host for local immersive theatre company AndsoForth.
Rowena Sparkles loves working with Lucy Sparkles & Friends and watching children grow through music, dance and drama. She believes that music is a great way to learn and she enjoys being onboard and learning from each child as they explore their own creative world.
