Lilly was really happy to see Lewis, it was a great surprise and when we asked her what the best bit of her birthday party was she immediately said singing with Lewis. One of the other parents delayed taking her son to pre-school so as he could finish the singing with Lewis as he was having so much fun and I had others crying when their mums said it was time to leave!!
Lewis was so good at involving all the children and how he remembered all their names I don’t know! He managed to make Lilly feel so special and whilst she was a little shy to start with, she was glued to his side… It was great to see! There were 3 boys (including my older son) who had got over excited and bashy, and Ella managed to calm them down and get them involved. Without that 45mins of calm, the cake wouldn’t have been finished, the food would’ve been unheated, the parents not talked to. Ben Sparkles has been with The Park Gardens Nursery for more than a year as a peripatetic singing teacher. He takes the sessions very seriously and is able to manage children of different ages in groups of twelve. He uses a variety of instruments, a parachute and lots of visual aids. Some of the songs are original and they are mixed with familiar ones. He has an excellent record of attendance and is always punctual.
Ben always shows care and commitment in all his work with the children and in turn they love having him here. He will go out of his way to ensure the children in his care are safe and secure at all times. Ben would be an asset to any nursery class. I run a little Montessori nursery in North London and the highlight of our week is our music class with one of Lucy’s friends, Harry Sparkles. She managed to keep 30 kids (ages ranging from 3-5) entertained for almost 2 hours – all the parents got to sit down and relax, enjoying a drink and some food, whilst knowing that their children were completely happy. If you want a party where the parents can get to know each other, and the kids can be entertained with music and drama, then this is the entertainer for you. My son looks forward to his ukulele class every Wednesday. He was better than me after just two lessons! 🙂 He shows me how to hold and tune the ukulele by ear (no app required!) after each class. The teacher explains everything clearly in a way that children can easily understand. Since starting lessons, he can understand pulse, rhythm and pitch, and is more interested in music, singing and dancing. I just wanted to sing Sarah’s praises after the entertainment she provided yesterday at Zoe’s 4th birthday party. As a grandad with many years’ experience of children’s parties and entertainers, I must say that Sarah was far and away the best I’ve ever seen. She has a beautiful singing voice, warm, engaging personality, and her enthusiasm was infectious – even to adults. She kept 10 children rapt for 45 minutes, which is a magnificent feat. Only a few months ago we switched to Lucy Sparkles for our weekly music class after using another provider for many years and we are really happy. The children really look forward to Cecily arriving each week with her magic sparkly bag. Cecily has such a lovely voice and the children are totally captivated when she plays her guitar and violin, it fills up the room with such a lovely sound. Lucy Sparkles is by far the best Baby/Toddler music and dance class there is as not only is it great fun it is also educational. Our daughter, Sophie has been coming to classes since she was crawling and now as a Toddler is even more enthusiastic and is very sad if she has to miss a week. 10 out of 10! Our children love Callie Sparkles. She is very enthusiastic when she comes and the children are always excited to see her and what she might have in her special bag this week. She keeps things very varied for the children and every week has something new to introduce to them either by an active game or singing with the key board (in a very high pitch which I can not dream of reaching) or even combining the two and covering music and movement.
The toddlers really enjoy her time too I have never seen them sit so well or so close to anyone before, again I think it’s because she changes things up for them and introduces some variety.
The parents have given some really positive feedback about her too as the children go home with their ‘sparkles’ from her telling them all about her.
