Lucy Sparkles

Company Director & drama, music and dance teacher

Lucy Sparkles walks to work with a smile on her face every day because she knows of the joy that drama, music and dance can bring into a child’s life. Lucy Sparkles has been enhancing the lives of children through drama, music and dance since 2002. From teaching music, drama and dance to children of all ages, to performing classical guitar; from playing Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, to writing children’s songs and plays; from drama workshops for children with special needs, to directing her own children’s musical… Lucy has done it!

Lucy is a professional singer and songwriter with a BA (Theatre)(Distinction) from Charles Sturt University in Australia, a Higher Diploma in Guitar Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music, a Diploma from the London Music School and a PPC In Early Childhood Music (Kodály) from Roehampton University.

Lucy established Lucy Sparkles & Friends in London in 2009.  Since then, the company has expanded to include three London based franchisees, one Canberra based licensee and a subsidiary company in Singapore.  Lucy has two young children, Isabel and Rafferty, who love attending mummy’s classes.

Nisha Joseph

Head of Entertainment & Events

Our Head of Entertainment, Nisha Joseph, initially joined Lucy Sparkles & Friends as a teacher and entertainer, where her passion and talent quickly shone through.

Nisha is a professionally trained actor with a profound love for singing and dancing. A 2016 graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, she has divided her time between Singapore and Melbourne, with an enriching period spent in the United States. Her diverse experience spans film, theater (both musical and non-musical), and voiceover work for Amazon’s Audible. Outside of her professional endeavors, Nisha enjoys playing the ukulele and is currently relearning the piano and guitar.

As a child, Nisha was notably quiet and shy, leading her concerned parents to enrol her in music and drama classes. These formative experiences ignited her enduring love for the arts and transformed her into a performer and teacher who connects effortlessly with others. Through her journey, Nisha has come to deeply appreciate the transformative power of the arts in nurturing and empowering children. She is dedicated to supporting each child’s unique journey, believing wholeheartedly that the energy and enthusiasm invested in them are returned tenfold.

Kathryn Edejer

Head of Enrichment

Kathryn, born and raised in the Philippines, with over a decade of experience in administration, operations, and team coordination, Kathryn brings a years of expertise and heart to her role. Along with her qualifications in Financial Management (Tarlac State University- Philippines), her background spans multiple industries—from construction to food industry to education support—where she has streamlined processes, led teams, and embraced technology to make everyday tasks smoother and smarter.

Kathryn is a natural problem-solver who thrives on building relationships—with team members, parents, clients, and partners alike. Whether she’s helping coordinate trial sessions, assisting with projects, or supporting new preschool partnerships, Kathryn approaches each task with care and attention to detail. Her calm and approachable nature allows her to collaborate well with others and contribute meaningfully to the team.
Her passion lies in helping teams work better together and ensuring that behind every fun and enriching activity, there’s a well-oiled system supporting it.

Outside of work, Kathryn is always curious—whether that means learning a new tech tool, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen as a passionate baker, or diving into her next creative project.

LC, Head of Talent and Communications at Lucy Sparkles & Friends, is a Singaporean expat who has lived overseas for much of her life, including in Hong Kong, the US, and Cambodia. With a Master’s in Communication Management from the US, she brings extensive experience in talent acquisition, operations, and leadership to the organization.

Throughout her career, LC has built a proven track record of success in diverse roles across various industries. She excels at developing high-performing teams, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a positive, engaging work environment. Prior to joining Lucy Sparkles & Friends, she held leadership positions at renowned organizations such as Compass Group, where she managed key accounts including Bloomberg and Google.

At Lucy Sparkles & Friends, LC is responsible for overseeing talent acquisition for new teachers and entertainers, as well as managing communications. She is also actively involved in enhancing customer service and streamlining operational processes. As a new mother herself, LC is deeply passionate about early childhood education and is excited to contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the company.

Priscilla Sparkles

Head of Teaching

Priscilla Sparkles has always loved singing, dancing and music. She has been playing the piano since she was four years old, and now enjoys playing the ukulele as well.

Priscilla graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Murdoch University, Western Australia in 2002 and began a career in marketing. Her passion for music lead to a career change in 2010, when she received her Grade 8 Piano (Practical and Theory) certification from The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), and started teaching piano to young children.

In 2012, she relocated to Shanghai with her family, where she qualified as a Music Specialist for ‘Music Together’, a US-based early childhood music program. Priscilla taught their music program for mixed-age family classes and pre-schools.

Having recently moved back to Singapore, Priscilla is excited to be part of the Lucy Sparkles & Friends team; her radiant smile and genuine passion for music bring joy to all who attend her classes.

Danica Sparkles

Drama, Music & Dance Teacher & Entertainer

Danica Sparkles is a versatile bilingual (Mandarin and English) performer with a background in voice and acting. Her passion for performance began at a young age, singing in choirs and competing in international choral competitions. Danica honed her skills in show academies, appearing in productions such as ‘Once on this Island’, ‘Working the Musical’, and ‘Into The Woods’. Her recent credits include performances in ‘Kusu Island the Musical’, for The Fool Theatre as well as show hosting and puppeteering at ‘Avatar the Experience’ in Gardens by the Bay.

Danica’s talents extend beyond the stage; she is also an experienced educator with a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Counselling. Her teaching experience includes working with pre-school children, specialising in speech and drama and public speaking.

Danica is passionate about making a positive impact on young lives and is thrilled to be a part of Lucy Sparkles & Friends. She believes that drama, music and dance have the power to bring out the best in children, creating magical memories that last a lifetime!

Eugenia Sparkles

Drama, Music & Dance Entertainer

Eugenia Sparkles
Eugenia Sparkles, educator and performer, graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre in 2023; equipping her with the singing, dancing and acting skills she has been passionate about since a young age.

Eugenia has played roles in various musical productions, such as Rapunzel in ‘Into the Woods’, Amy in ‘Company’ and Morticia Addams in ‘The Addams Family’. She has also been a part of the TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) shows; including playing Betty in ‘The Missing Pages’.

Eugenia is now living out her childhood dream of performing on the stage but her journey into performing, and teaching children storytelling & music, began during her teenage years; when she first served in the church.

She, and her trusty ukelele, enjoy bringing fun and enriching musical experiences for the younger generations; watching each child bloom into a one-of-a-kind performer!

Kezia Sparkles

Drama, Music & Dance Teacher & Entertainer

Kezia Sparkles, a professional soprano, has recently moved to Singapore from London. She holds a postgraduate degree in Vocal Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, a First-Class Honours degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Durham University, and an MA in Music from the University of Birmingham.

Specializing in opera, Kezia’s recent roles include Maguelonne (Cendrillon), Annina (La Traviata), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow), Frasquita (Carmen), and covering Emily Brontë in Lisa Logan’s Brontë. She is also an accomplished concert performer and a regular with UK-based Musicians for the East Wind series, which included singing for the Chinese Embassy, featured on CGTN’s The World Today. Other notable performances include soloist roles in Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio, Fauré’s Requiem, and Mozart’s Litaniae Lauretanae, as well as collaborating with Electric Voice Theatre on their Eliza Flower project.

Previously a teacher with Lucy Sparkles in the UK, Kezia Sparkles is excited to begin teaching in Singapore. Having started playing violin at the age of two, she has experienced firsthand the value of early musical training. Her teaching at Lucy Sparkles further reinforced her belief in the power of interactive music and dance classes to build children’s confidence, communication, and musicality.

Mel Sparkles

Drama, Music & Dance Teacher

Mel Sparkles

Mel Sparkles graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre in 2022, which armed her with skills in singing, acting and dancing. She plays piano, guitar and ukulele, and enjoys writing and arranging music. Mel’s ultimate goal is to write her very own musical!

Recently, Mel represented her Filipino heritage by performing in ‘Remotes X Quantum’ at Singapore’s International Festival of the Arts 2022. 

Mel grew up in a music loving household, which ignited her passion for performing. Thus, she strives to help children discover the fun and joy that drama, music and dance can bring!

Abby Sparkles

Music Teacher

Abby has been in the theatre scene since 2013, having been in productions such as “Forbidden City: Portrait of An Empress” by SRT, “Lao Jiu, The Musical” by TTP, and “December Rains, The Musical”, by Toy Factory.

She is also a singer for weddings and events, and was within the Top 20 of the Singapore Auditions for Voice of China.

Abby loves working with little children, and often does storytelling sessions in English and Chinese under Gateway Theatre.

Ai Wen Sparkles

Ai Wen Sparkles

Ai Wen Sparkles is a bilingual Mandarin–English triple threat (singer, dancer and actor), who graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre in 2022. She also holds a diploma in violin and trained in both artistic and trampoline gymnastics from the age of six!

Ai Wen was cast in several roles throughout college, including Albert in ‘It Shoulda Been You’ and Baker’s Wife in ‘Into the Woods’. Outside of college, Ai Wen has been involved in professional productions including ‘The Sound of Music’ at Marina Bay Sands and ‘Monster in the Mirror’ by Bitesize Collective.

Ai Wen dreams to one day perform on Broadway or the West End, and is working hard towards that goal! In the meantime, she loves teaching her craft to young children and watching them develop into expressive young adults!  Ai Wen says, ‘Children remind us that the simplest joys in life can be the most powerful.’

Ai Wen says that choosing to pursue her passion and love for the dramatic arts was one of the best decisions she ever made, and she wishes to inspire and guide children who hold the same feelings towards theatre.

Ying Er Sparkles is an actress, currently training at LASALLE College of The Arts, where she is undertaking her BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre. She has nurtured a profound passion for music since she was a young child and strongly believes in cultivating a love for the arts in children. Whether she’s belting out show tunes or strumming her ukulele, Ying Er finds joy in the melodies that fill her world. Through her dedication to the arts, and her boundless enthusiasm, Ying Er hopes to inspire the next generation; encouraging them to embrace their passions and chase their dreams with unwavering determination.
